I paint for the pleasure of discovering what takes shape in this moment and place.
Painting is a continuous exchange between what appears spontaneously and how I respond to it. Forms emerge, shift and dissolve. Pareidolia allows my mind to detect shapes and horizons. I engage with them by adding, covering, scratching, moving, erasing and beginning again.
Two intrinsically related series emerge:
Éphémères explores what comes, passes and transforms.
It is about what happens.Souveraines explores how a being stands within what comes.
It is about how we meet it.
When relationships between the elements stabilise, the work appears as a coherent field.
This is the moment I know I can let the work go.
Here and now, the rest is yours.
